Identify inland communities who are creating ocean movements in the middle of the country. A great one to work with is the Colorado Ocean Coalition who is holding their first "Making Waves in Colorado" event on November 13th. Dr. Sylvia Earle will be speaking and a few other Elders would be amazing. The Colorado Ocean Coalition is working to create an inland Ocean Movement, focusing on "What Colorado can do for Oceans." The Symposium is addressing Marine Protected Areas, Plastics in the Environment, Shark Finning, Watersheds, Climate Change and Oceans, and Sustainable Seafood.
